First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel Młyn on Aleje Racławickie, you immediately notice how it stands out from the typical chain hotels scattered around Lublin. The building has this interesting industrial-meets-modern vibe that actually works — I mean, the name literally means “mill” in Polish, so they’re clearly playing up that heritage. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I honestly appreciate in a three-star property. The entrance feels welcoming without being overly fancy, and you get the sense that this place knows exactly what it wants to be.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what really impressed me about the location — you’re on one of Lublin’s main thoroughfares, but it doesn’t feel chaotic or noisy. Aleje Racławickie is actually perfect for getting around the city, whether you’re walking or need to catch public transport. The Old Town is totally walkable from here (maybe 15 minutes if you’re taking your time), and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within a few blocks. What couples seem to love — and I can see why — is that you’re close enough to everything but still in a quieter part of the city where you can actually have a conversation on the street.

The Room Experience

The rooms at Hotel Młyn strike that sweet spot between comfortable and practical. Nothing feels cheap or rushed, but they’re not trying to compete with upscale hotels either. The beds are genuinely comfortable — I’m talking proper sleep quality here — and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. You know what I really appreciated? The windows actually open, and the rooms get good natural light during the day. It’s those little details that make you realize someone put thought into the guest experience rather than just checking boxes.

Service & Amenities

The staff here gets it — they’re helpful without hovering, and most speak solid English if your Polish is rusty. The front desk team actually knows the neighborhood well, so when you ask for restaurant recommendations, you’re getting real suggestions, not just the tourist traps. There’s a decent breakfast spread (nothing revolutionary, but fresh and filling), and the common areas feel lived-in rather than showroom perfect. The WiFi works properly throughout the building, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow still is in some places.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.4 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here — Hotel Młyn delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Couples keep coming back because it hits that perfect balance of being romantic enough for a getaway but practical enough that you’re not paying for amenities you won’t use. The location really is the star here; you can explore Lublin properly without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. It’s the kind of place where you’d actually want to spend time in your room, but you’re also perfectly positioned to get out and experience the city.

Very Good

The hotel location was perfect for our needs. The staff was very nice. It was good to have a breakfast as early as 7 am, exactly what we needed. The hotel is not new, but the room was quite comfortable. It was good for its price.

A nice hotel, great value for money

The hotel is located in a nice and safe part of the city. Plenty of bus stops available, beautiful public gardens nearby. If you like you could walk to the city centre about 20 minutes. Three universities are just 10 minutes away from the hotel, spacious and comfortable rooms.

What could be improved: The internet connection was little bit slow at times.

An excellent affordable hotel in Lublin

Well located, LARGE rooms, free parking always available, prompt staff, nice breakfast, very affordable.
Good free WIFI.

What could be improved: Don't expect luxury. Simple rooms are spacious, bathrooms and toilets in each, clean and nice. But that's it.
When traveling during the summer note that the rooms have no A/C.

Overall, a very comfortable stay with lovely breakfast and helpful staff.

It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s a very functional place for people travelling on budget. The staff are very helpful, my room was enormous and was very comfortable, the breakfast (for additional charge) was very nice and plentiful. I’ll definitely go back.

What could be improved: The hotel could do with some refurbishment, as it looks a bit tired. There was no bath mat in the bathroom, so I had to use a hand towel instead. There are no hair dries in the rooms, but you can get one from the reception, which is fine in a 3 star hotel.

Overall, it was a great stay.

The breakfast was great. Good quality for price.
The location was very convenient. The room was cozy and quiet.

What could be improved: The water pressure was low in the shower. The toilet was leaking water at the bottom.
