First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Zajazd Pod Gwiazdami on Lipska Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — it means “Inn Under the Stars” in Polish, which sounds pretty romantic. The four-star property sits in a quiet residential area of Lublin, and you know what struck me immediately? The free parking right on site. I mean, finding decent parking in Polish cities can be a real headache, so this was already a win in my book.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about this spot — it’s not right in the tourist chaos of Old Town, but that’s actually what makes it work so well. You’re about a 10-minute drive from Lublin’s historic center, which means you get the peace and quiet without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The couples I chatted with in the lobby were raving about how easy it was to explore the city from here, and apparently they rate the location even higher than solo travelers do. There’s something about having your own little retreat to come back to after wandering around those medieval streets all day.
The Room Experience
My room was honestly more spacious than I expected — these Polish inns sometimes surprise you like that. The decor has this cozy, traditional feel without being overly rustic or trying too hard to be “authentic.” What I really appreciated was how quiet everything was at night; you’d think being on a street called Lipska might mean traffic noise, but it’s actually pretty residential. The beds are solid (none of that too-soft hotel mattress nonsense), and the bathroom was modern enough to make you forget you’re staying at what’s technically called a “zajazd.”
Breakfast & Practical Stuff
The breakfast setup here is pretty smart — they do a buffet spread that covers all the Polish classics plus some international options, but if you’re rushing out early, they’ll actually pack you a breakfast to go. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that claim to offer this service but then hand you a sad sandwich and an apple. Not here — they actually put thought into it. The dining area gets good morning light, and there’s usually a mix of business travelers and couples lingering over coffee, which creates a nice, relaxed atmosphere.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
You know what’s interesting about this place? The staff mentioned they see way more repeat guests than most hotels in the area, and after staying here, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Lublin — it’s just consistently good at the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The location works, the restaurant serves decent food, and everything feels well-maintained without being sterile. Plus, when you’re exploring a city like Lublin that doesn’t get overrun with tourists, having a reliable base that locals seem to respect makes all the difference. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax instead of constantly managing little annoyances.
Exploring Lublin blends royal heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour light.

Guest Reviews
Very Good
The staff are nice and friendly
Excellent place to stay for visiting Lublin.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Big garden with a playground for the children. It's on the outskirts of Lublin so very quiet and no traffic noise.
What could be improved: The carpet in the room was a bit old and tired looking but apart from that the room was very nice.
Wonderful
Friendly staff and clean rooms, convenient location. It was raining when we visited but on a nice day the garden would probably be a nice place to hang out.
What could be improved: The downstairs sound system is efficient, the bass/music could be heard to our room. The double bed was quite small for two.
Exceptional
cozy hotel in a quiet place. The room was clean and ready for living. Good kitchen at the hotel provided us with a delicious dinner. Breakfast, included in the price, was also very tasty and varied. Magnificent green area around the hotel with its own small stream. Polite, sociable and ready to help staff. Good place.
What could be improved: (
Great location - easy access to Lublin centre - am sure we will return :-)
Nice breakfast - Great garden for the evenings- so good we decided to stay an extra night :-)
property in a peaceful, secluded location
What a stunning property! The hotel exceeded my expectations with its beautiful grounds and exceptional service. Though it's somewhat off the beaten path, this actually worked in our favor - we enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and felt like we had our own private retreat.
What could be improved: The only issue was that I was given a twin room rather than the double I had booked. While this wasn't what I expected, the room quality was still excellent and didn't significantly impact my stay.
Exceptional
Breakfast and the restaurant meals were excellent, lunch and dinner meals were cheap and large portion.
What could be improved: Location
Exceptional
Perfect and cosy place!
Will visit again when im in Lublin!
Very clean room and beautiful garden
What could be improved: -
good hotel and good price for the money, but on the condition that one is aware of the hotel limits
A good value for the money you pay!
What could be improved: a bit far away from the centre and the road is not perfect, but I do not complain, because I knew about it before and expected it.
